    I think she's a little too much of a bomb-thrower to be the best candidate.

    It would also be quite easy to pin her down as a crusader on social issues—sort of a left wing Rick Santorum (which, in my opinion, wouldn't be entirely unfair). That works just fine in her base of East Lansing, but in Michigan, social and economic liberalism do not automatically go hand in hand, and clearly the best line of attack here is the right-to-work law. (I'm not even sure Gov. Snyder is pro-life.)

    In any case, she's opted out, so at this point I just hope someone runs. Our bench is just mouth-gapingly thin...
