      ...Alvin Lee certainly knew what to play and what NOT to play; it's so easy for these guys to get carried away with speed that they miss the music.

      This is great.

      Dan Fogelberg, who was a studio gun before he made it, once said, "I've found that it's not what you play as much as what you don't play." Alvin Lee certainly knew this principle, even in a song as frenetic as "Goin' Home" you don't hear wasted notes and keeps himself from going way over the top. As it stands, it's a testimony and evidence that "speed metal" was nothing new in 1979.
