income gains to the top 1% from 2009 to 2011 were 121% of all income increases. How did that happen? Incomes to the bottom 99% fell by 0.4%

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt based on reading your posts over the year, but just in case, lay out why this diary is not coherent.

First of all, she conflates two entirely different issues:

      1. the assassination of persons, here or abroad (they're both unconstitutional) without due process by the executive branch.

      2. the technology used to carry out these assassinations, which is completely irrelevant to issue 1., but has its own important problems as well.

This conflation, perhaps, is what leads the diarist make the most egregious argument: saying that since nukes are so bad, and we have 5000 of them, we shouldn't concern ourselves with this other weapons technology because it kills far less people.

This argument might have merit if the lethality of the weapons were the issue. But they're not.

The issue is the claim of authority by Obama that he can extrajudicially assassinate individuals, thereby denying them their constitutionally protected right to dues process under the law.

There are issues with drone technology that have nothing to do with their lethality. But I don't see anyone talking about that right now.

The issue raising so much alarm is a legal one. How can there even be an intelligent discussion with these people when they can't even identify the issues being discussed.
