    falling that melted instantly upon hitting the ground.  I went to Rockville in the afternoon and saw a bit of accumulation, but it was all converting to slush by then.

    Forecasters have a long, long history of having their big snow predictions in DC fizzle.  Given how nice Tuesday was and especially how mild Tuesday night was, I had doubts that this would be the big event that it was being hyped to be.
