  •  Happy Friday, family and friends! (4+ / 0-)

I have some good news to share. I mentioned last week that our cat Vyonne has gone missing. She is still gone - that's the bad news - but something good actually came from looking for her. One place we looked was the Humane Society, and while we didn't find her there, we did find a sweet 8 month old female cat the Humane Society had named Pirate. She was brought in as a stray and not available for adoption, but when we met her, we knew this is a cat who needs to become part of our family. She got spayed yesterday and came home to us about an hour ago, and is busy exploring the house. We don't know if the name Pirate will stick or if she'll inform us her name should be something else, but she is now part of our family and here she will stay. She is curious, friendly, affectionate, and solid black. So while we are mourning Vyonne (and I am on for The Grieving Room on 3/18 about that), we are happy to have been able to adopt Pirate.

That's most of my news. The sun is out, we have game this weekend, and my eye surgery was successful, so most of what's going on here is good. It would be all good if Vyonne came back.

Organ donors save lives! A donor's kidney gave me my life back on 02/18/11; he lives on in me. Please talk with your family about your wish to donate.

Why are war casualty counts "American troops" and "others" but never "human beings"?
