  •  My Mom died yesterday (5+ / 0-)

I made it allo the way back to Oakland CA ftom Calama Chile, a 2 hour flight north.
I had gottrn an email saying she was feeling worse just before I got on the plane. when I got off the first thing mt son called and said she'd suffered a serious strtoke. and to get back. Fortunately I was there with part of our extended Chilean family who dealt with the counter people right away to get me back on the next plane, 2 hours later.
Thanks to SKYPE, internet and cell phone service I was ablt to get my expected flight changed 3 weeks to the next thing smoking outta Santiago. To Atlanta, then SF Same flights my son was on.
    delta fee for changing: $37.50.
So it was out on the Nightly Sore  Ass
wee made it back to SF, picked up there and taken to the hospital in OAkland.
We walked into the room and there she wass I took her in my arms and kissed her.
An hour later she died, surrounded by people she loved. Almost like she'd been waiting for me and Dan.

....for you and your family, exlrrp.  Could your mom have been waiting for you and Dan?  Absolutely.  It surely brought her comfort to have you with her.  Peace and blessings for all of the people who she loved and who loved her.

I had you - and your mother - on my mind and in my prayers all day yesterday.  I am relieved you made it in time and was able to say goodbye in person.  I'm sure she did wait for you and Dan.

I know she was an incredible woman and I know you loved her mightily.  You were blessed to have her.

      {{{{{{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}}}}} for your heartbreak.

Would you like me or eeff to cover your Monday and beyond for awhile?
