    to bring the memories back up. It made me sick when I learned about the circumstances. Thanks for trying to save it and of course the children. I understand that the paint chemicals made the fire especially hot. I'm an oil painter myself and know the dangers all too well.

    I don't know if you have seen this but here is a picture of what the mill looked like when my family, the name Seyforth, co-owned it in 1875. Later they owned it outright after taking on the debt that Mr. Mey left them. My great-grandmother's brother and his descendants lived and is buried in Cascade. John Meyer was a shoe maker and his son, Arno, famous for his apples and the Waldo Orchard. The extended family still live in the area. The single contact that I made was not interested in genealogy.
