  •  Several signs of spring to report on from (7+ / 0-)

here in mid Mo. today. Temps got into the mid fifties, with just a few clouds and lot's of bright sunshine between them, which was enough to melt of most of that white stuff that came a few days ago, releasing the moisture back into the ground where it'll do some good. Warm-up to continue for the next several days. All good.

A few of the daffodils in the yard are close to blooming and there a couple of yellow petals on one of the forsythia bushes. Saw three more small flocks of north bound snow geese today, and heard the first male redwing singing this year. Also singing were chickadees, cardinals and tufties. And both the chorus frogs and spring peepers are singing as well this evening.

Got in a couple hours work on the martin house today. Have all pieces cut out and painted and partially put together. Probably finish it tomorrow unless I decide it needs another coat of  paint first.

Just give me some truth. John Lennon
