    SFAF provides, you'll find that a lot of them require people with expertise.  For example, SFAF operates Magnet, a sexual health clinic for gay men (and others) in the Castro.  Its services are entirely free of charge, although donations are requested.  Among the services Magnet performs are expensive things like STD testing and viral RNA testing.  

    And that's just one of the services the foundation offers.  It also does community outreach to underserved populations for things like safer sex counseling.  It runs the Stop AIDS Project.  It does other things as well.

    So the salaries listed here anything but outlandish.  Personally, as an HIV+ gay San Franciscan, I think the diarist has an axe to grind.
