  •  Along with the bad optics of Obama golfing with (14+ / 0-)

oil profiteers, Kerry, the day that the draft SEIS was released by his Dept, he conveniently was out of town.

If these pricks were Republicans, this site would have a rec list full of diaries calling bullshit on everything they're trying to pull, from bankster immunity to this to the the National Security State.  In fact, I'd have no trouble whatsoever, if the political shoe was on the other foot, of labeling all this shit for what it is: neoconservative "governance".

    We are so utterly fucked.

"Well, yeah, the Constitution is worth it if you succeed." - Nancy Pelosi // Question: "succeed" at what?

    •  As long as people have a job, and a home to (4+ / 0-)

Live in, they are too busy (usually) working to pay for said luxuries to understand how nicely camouflaged this Administration is.  I find most of the friends I have - they love love love this Administration, as aren't the Obamas and the Clintons all so cool on Women's Health Rights, and the rights of gays to marry?

It's only when they have the foreclosure notice sent, or the pink slip from the job, that they start to wake up. Sad but true.

And for many Americans, it won't be until they no longer can have drinking water pouring from their kitchen faucets that they will understand the fuss about the Keystone XL pipeline, and also the fracking for natural gas issues. Till that happens directly to them, they are all: well, these things do create jobs that are badly needed. Never mind that the jobs won't last a decade, and the water will be gone FOREVER!
