    the oil industry consultants that wrote the report when you prepare your comments on the Keystone XL pipeline EIS matter.  

    Complaints about the conflicts of interests of the consultant
    are, frankly, irrelevant to what Department of State, as a final decisionmaker on both the presidential permit and the Final Supplemental EIS, must consider in their final decision.

    Focus your arguments on the 'national interest' criteria for granting a presidential permit, whether Keystone XL pipeline properly serves a public convenience and necessity and whether the Department of State draft supplemental EIS is or is not a fair and accurate statement of the environmental effects of the decision.

    Focus your comments during the public comment period on what the DOS SEIS says, not on the conflicts of interests of the consultants.
