  •  Thanks, mrsgoo... (8+ / 0-)

What did you think of "Argo"?

IMO, it was far and away the best movie of the year... well deserving of all the awards it won (and some awards it didn't).

    •  Loved it! And even looking at it through the (6+ / 0-)

"artistic license" angle - If you remove the drama of the getting on the plane and the bazaar scenes - If you just get down to 6 people hanging out and being told - here is your new identity - have it down - 'coz you gotta bullshit your way outta the country - is azz puckering enough. Like hubbie said - I bet they were good studies. The alternative really sucked. I read the Canadian Caper page on wiki. That was some pretty professional grade bullshit that worked. Good on 'em all!!! A little piece of me wants to believe that the Iranians were "that close" and watched that plane fly away!

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

Lincoln should have won best picture IMHO.

Thanks Trix. I love how you always find a way to make Sunday Talk fresh, not an easy thing to do week after week. You da best!

      •  60 minutes interviewed (0+ / 0-)

the agent that this is about.  I believe he was used as a consultant when the movie was being made.  It was a fascinating interview.  He said all that stuff about the identities as the movie crew was exactly what went down.
