    war could never have happened if it were just Bush and Cheney and their cabal of fellow travelers beating the drum. It had to involve not only the acquiescence of but the active participation by most of the US media. It's began with the New York Times but went so much further. It is sad that to this day American journalists and their employers has never really done a thorough self-examination of their role and issued the appropriate apologies.

      These people are still employed and considered to be people worth listening too while the people who were right from the beginning are still considered unworthy of listening too.
