    ...without putting weight on knee.  It's a balancing act! Anything for up against walls/chairs or braced against something but upright? I guess the chair modification you mention below would work too. :-)

    I've also been using a recumbent bike with the resistance amped up and that helps a bit. And of course I walk to work but that's just under a mile a day, so not really far enough to do much more than stretch. It's been hurting to do that because of the snow/ice (knee is unstable and has both nerve damage and floating bits of bone grinding around in there)  and I have a little difficulty navigating changes in the level of the ground, or stepping up/down from curbs. Still do it, but have to be careful.
