    well, you don't want NO business, obviously, but one rather wishes that it would be quiet for a while, not too busy.

    Heh... we had a cabbie tonight begging ones: he got wiped out by a fifty and then, I guess, a succession of twenties.

    It's difficult when everyone is paying with twenties and you're handing out ones three or four per customer.  Doesn't take long to go through thirty of the things.

      ......all those dollar coins that people don't use generally.  I get $1 coins when I buy tickets with cash on the MetroLink at the ticket vending machines, although since they now accept credit cards, I guess I don't have to worry about feeding bills there now.  However, I got burned when I tried to purchase two tickets on my cc, but I effed up and only got one, which turned out to be pre-validated (this was a past tip jar loser story).  Plus, when I go to the big grocery, if I have enough cash on hand, I can pay in big bills, since I know they'll never be short of $1's.
