    But, in this particular case, it's beside the point. The question is not in which counties was oppression most rampant--of course that would be the majority-black counties--but in which counties was white support for oppression highest.

    I'm not sure what you're arguing with the paragraph about the Dream Act.

      Why did a high percentage of us white Marylanders (possibly a majority of Maryland whites, but I don't know) vote for it?  Even in very white exurban Frederick County, which in 2010 elected teabaggers to run the county, it nearly passed 49 to 51 percent.

        Nobody is saying white liberals hate Latinos; nobody's even saying a majority of white liberals are racist (being a racist and hating minorities are not the same thing). FFS, I'm a white liberal too.
