    incorporating transparent standards and peer-review.

Ask me if I'm afraid. I say, "Of course not. I'm a fool, and fools never die."

out, but consent is manufactured. The basics of civics, humanities, science and American history are not widely disseminated, stopping the spread of civilization or transmission of the national culture that was still growing in the 1970's but has suffered severe defeats since then. Reconstruction which is still actively going on in voting rights, was again defeated when the vacuum left by the end of neoslavery was occupied by the plutocrats and theocrats in the '80's, in service of a wage slavery that does not require education. This future is fundamentally opposed to the purpose of the United States in the founding documents and in the New Deal. The vote is unlikely to be taken away and can be used together with teach-ins online to bring voters up to speed as a bloc promising to vote out congressional members who won't pass omnibus reforms and regulations to control the corporate media. There is no avoiding this political task as part of the larger project of stabilizing democracy and the New Deal.
