    what should be done.  I signed on.  I don't have to say anything more.  You knew from day one that we'd end up where we are today or in an even worse position.  

    I'm very concerned about what the Republicans are doing in the House.  The debt limit was suspended through May 18.  The Republicans should not be permitted to use the threat of debt default to extract a consent agreement from the Democrats on matters unrelated to the debt ceiling.  The Treasury Dept. says that a debt default would do irreparable damage to the economy.  

    Using the creditworthiness of the US as a bargaining chip to coerce the Democrats isn't a legitimate way for the Repubicans to enact the public policies they want.  It undermines the rule of law and it challenges democracy.

    I appreciate all you do.
