there will be more slaughters, probably overdue for one any day now. The current bills were inadequate anyway. As the slaughters continue, consensus will emerge, eventually, that the problem is semi autos generally, especially handguns. Just like slavery, oppression of women, guns are a major feature of our culture and will take a long time to change, but it is changing, and since the slaughters will never stop until we act effectively, I am hopeful that someday, this will change.

"luckily" there will be more slaughters?

at first by the bomb drop of these words

but as I continued I recognized the theme in them. The truth hurts, doesn't it, and the hope you are holding out for seems illusive at best in the present circumstances. Still, holding out for hope is better than leaving things status quo and the NRA in charge.

another room full of children are slaughtered.

There are other, better ways, to counter the NRA.

It's almost like you are calling for human sacrifice.

No, I don't wish for more slaughter. What happened at Sandy Hook broke my cynical heart, I literally cried over it. Little terrified babies being systematically killed. Then the debate started, then the bullshit, and the gun people here and everywhere splitting hairs and making these dopey, myopic arguments that make literally the rest of the world shake their collective heads at us. But the truth will win. And the truth is, this problem, of murder rampages and gun violence that is seen nowhere else in the civilized world, it will continue as long as we embrace the notion that everyone is allowed to possess these highly efficient killing machines, semi autos with high capacity magazines. And when it happens again, the spin and politics that prevents real solutions will be weakened, and over time we will face the problem realistically, and solve the problem. But the truth that will drive that solution, it's not going to stop.

I believe it should be hidden. It is a bad argument, loaded with ghoulish wishes.
Since this Diary is destined for the front page, I don't think it has long before it's found in the hiddens.
