I wish it were a bad April Fools day joke. (Well I was a fool - lol)

When some things come easy to a person (like hard stuff like math and science), sometimes you don't question whether an answer is too easy.  Between that, a major influence of libertarian views (via sci-fi, Heinlein is still a favorite author of mine), a military background, and other factors, I lived in a libertarian/repug haze for many years.

Repugs get some smart people who don't bother to think things through, and dumb people who eat up the easy sound-bites.  For the longest time I fell for their crap.  It would be easier to never admit it, but I rather would admit it as a cautionary tale for others.

BTW I am always willing to show libertarians (not hardcore RWNJ') the error of their ways.  RWNJs will never be convinced of anything

Never underestimate stupid. Stupid is how reTHUGlicans win!

when I was a little girl like seven years old I LOVED Robert Heinlein - I still do actually although now I recognize his flaws as a person. He was writing from a time that none of us understand..........or we do but we just don't agree with it.

      He was brilliant.

"Hard stuff like math and science". Yes that is hard, but it's easy compared to figuring out how to do it for the rest of our fellow humans.

Thank you for answering in my thread. I didn't think anybody would come in here, really.

and also, you are NOT a fool. just a human like the rest of us.

Old Mamasan would certainly be glad to know that Ronnie's gotten past it. I'll tell her the next time I see her. Stephen King, Hearts in Atlantis

What's important is that you have had an awakening to a wider view of the world.

When I was younger I had some very narrow views myself and I'm not proud of them.   But forgiveness is a gift and you can give it to yourself.

      It's the Supreme Court, stupid!
