of steaming manure.  Women who never worked a day in their lives, or only a few years?  That's my mother.  7 kids because no birth control worked, 7 kids in 8 1/2 years, wringer washer, clothesline dryer, cloth diapers, preacher's salary, three meals a day, housing that required 3 to a bedroom mostly, and one bathroom.  She never stopped moving, worked after we got into school, then decided teens need a mom as much as toddlers do and was there for us.  She paid little in to the system.  In a sane world she'd have been compensated as a professional mother.

I'm not looking for a love that will lift me up and carry me away. A love that will stroll alongside and make a few amusing comments will suffice.
