has. Did you drink lots of greek wine?

I love that greek wine rodytiis (or similar spelling) and always eating outdoors, and of course, greek food.

A bit too heavy on the cheese factor for my taste but lots of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, lamb, etc.  It was delicious.  I'm not a big wine drinker but there was plenty of ouzo.

A highlight was sitting in with the traditional wedding band at the reception. They handed me a guitar and lots of fun was had.

It was a great time.  I was there with twenty friends so it was a big group party...

I never got into ouzo taste -  or the retsina wine that used to be so popular. I understand they still drink retsina but not as popular there now.

when turning the spit on the Easter lamb.

At least when I was there.

My wife wanted to surprise me one year with a bottle of Retsina in memory of the Greek years...

So she went to fancy wine shop and asked if they had Retsina. He said no, but he could order some. So he asked my wife what vintner and year. She laughed. He got all snobby and said that wines are very particular. She laughed and said they put pine resin in it. Get me the freshest bottle you can find. Preferably a screw on top.
