    if someone can tell the chamber is empty. I personally am only comfortable with one gun: a 20/20 side by side shotgun.

    It's what I know best, but even apart from that it has the obvious benefit that you cannot help but know if it's loaded. When you break the breach, there's just no way to be in doubt about it.
