So when someone brings up that cars are just as dangerous, say fine, let's regulate guns the way we regulate cars and driving.

You must be licensed to drive a car. To get the license you must pass a written test and a driving test. You must periodically renew that license.

The car must be registered and licensed and insured. You must be at least 16 to drive (My father handed me shotguns and rifles and took me hunting when I was 10 and that's legal--try handing over the wheel to your 10 year old and you'll get ticketed)

You car must pass safety standards. It some states it must get smog tested periodically

It's a crime to operate a vehicle under the influence (they don't give breathalyzer tests to hunters). Get pulled over for DUI and not only do they arrest you but they impound your car.

There are all kinds of speed limits and driving regulations and an army of traffic cops nationwide enforcing those regulations. Too many violations and they take your license away.

Have an illness like epilepsey or something else that may impair your driving and they may take your license away

So, yeah, let's treat gun ownership the way we treat cars and driving.

Do they do that with guns? No.
