    If that's true about the video spoofing the election, then I am tempted to say "good for them" to at least be upfront about their lack of recruiting.

      I know little about Oregon, but I share the frustration of many Kossacks about the failings of Democrats generally. Yet I'm a firm believer in voting for the Lesser Evil.

      In other words, as long as the GOP is completely off the crazy cliff, the Democrats can suck pretty bad and still be the only viable choice.

      I long for the day we can choose between Pretty Good and Excellent, instead of between Pretty Bad and Awful. Someday, maybe.

        the Republicans drove themselves off that cliff.  For years they ran with crooked businessmen and religious nutters.  Their decent politicians retired or left for other jobs and there has been a vacuum ever since.

        Last year they ran as a candidate for Secretary of State a doctor who'd never run for office before.  He sold himself as a new kind of politician, but turned out to be the old kind.  After he lost he wrote an piece for the Big O whining about how he only lost because of the (R) behind his name.
