    From an ethnic group that could be identified,  that doesn't really tell you much about the rest of your genome.

    Each gene has its own family tree,  and they're often totally unrelated. There are probably genes in my genome whose common ancestor with their counterparts in yours predate the existence of mammals.

    This stuff is fascinating,  but personalizing it can lead to error.
