(don't necessarily agree with the quote I'll compare to, but find interesting as Tesla is certainly a Genius who certainly is not appreciated, so I almost take his word for it (I think he just got the credit for the Radio- although he also created the technology behind Drones)) . . .
I digress except he certainly contributed more than mankind knows (turning down royalties that'd make him rich but hurt AC and I'd guess bankrupt westinghouse by agreeing to release them). . .

oh my point, it reminded me of this comment for which I only have an understanding of Physics as a Philosophy personally so have no opinion even if that implies agreement . . .

He was also critical of Einstein's theory of relativity, saying:

I hold that space cannot be curved, for the simple reason that it can have no properties. It might as well be said that God has properties. He has not, but only attributes and these are of our own making. Of properties we can only speak when dealing with matter filling the space. To say that in the presence of large bodies space becomes curved is equivalent to stating that something can act upon nothing. I, for one, refuse to subscribe to such a view.
I always thought it interesting. For some reason your quote made me think of and hey talking about Tesla and Einstein raises the average IQ of a Paul Ryan thread.
    •  I'm a huge fan of Nikola Tesla. (0+ / 0-)

I love to read about his theories and experiments, even though I don't understand many of them.  He was a fascinating personality as well as a genius scientist.

I was elated to hear The Oatmeal fundraising campaign was successful last year in raising the money to save Tesla's laboratory on Long Island and actually raised enough to create a museum there.  On my bucket list is visiting the Tesla Museum in Belgrade.
