a little better than Dark Side of the Moon, but it is close. I never liked Southern Rock generally, but there is some very good stuff on Live at the Filmore East. Can't deal with Deep Purple at all. Sgt. Peppers should be on many lists for Day in the Life alone, which is one of the greatest songs from the 60's, or any other decade. They just do not make them like that anymore. Or like Layla, for that matter.

If I don't see you, for a long while, I'll try to find you, left of the dial.

      went for variety.
I also don't like southern rock, but the Bros are more blues and jazz-oriented than other southern bands tend(ed) to be. And they are NOT to be missed in concert, even without Dicky Betts.
Free Bird is toxic to my soul. Long, whiny- worst goddamned song of the 70s.

I'm not a huge Deep Purple fan either, but Machine Head was the band at its zenith. The song "Lazy" on the second side of the album is just jaw-droppingly amazing and one of my favorite tunes of all time. (Well, all of my time, anyway.)
