    that's not going to unring the bell. He really isn't testifying like Sandra Fluke did, so his credibility isn't on the line.

    It's not the 47% comment by itself that's responsible for Romney being perceived as a heartless Randian plutocrat. People were already suspicious of that, because Mitt couldn't seem to identify with the little people. Everywhere he mixed with the common folk in front of cameras, he came off looking like a dick. The 47% comment just confirmed it, and it was instantly believable because of the groundwork Mitt had already laid.

      Pittsburgh. They were from a popular, local bakery and he asked if they were from the 7-11. He has no common touch, and his sense of superiority and entitlement came through loud and clear every time. The fact that he got 47 percent of the vote shows how politics in this country has become not about the people running but my team vs. your team with a side of racism thrown in this time around.
