    in the 90's when I was living in Seattle. I noticed lots of similarities between the Pacific Northwest and the Atlantic Northwest.

    Wildflowers-mostly same, foxglove everywhere
    Beer-lots but Guinness is best!
    Salmon- everywhere, even on the money (pre-Euro)

    I mourned when they changed to the Euro because they had the coolest money in Europe. They had poets and writers on the beautifully colored paper money and harps and salmon on the coins. Spending a bill with James Joyce's picture on it was brill.

    I love Ireland and hope to go back within the next few years. I looked into my genealogy in hopes of finding some Irish ancestors, but alas, none. Irish in my heart though.
