  •  What is the point of the inventory requirement? (0+ / 0-)

    That adds bureaucracy and cost while leaning needlessly on law abiding business people -- for no good purpose at all.

    Businesses already have an incentive to track their stock: stolen goods = money lost.

    A law, especially one that only requires an annual check, is pointless.

      Pointless or not, this is not the bill for such riders.  Democrats should wail on these guys and suggest they lack the courage to introduces properly focused bills.

      My day was a constant inventory. I counted them into my truck, counted them into the vending machine, counted my truck contents every week, the money I turned in daily was balanced against my counts.

      This was for freaking candy bars.
