  •  My reference to the job interview was just... (0+ / 0-)

to highlight a rhetorical technique, not about being asked about my religious beliefs in an actual job interview.  That's never happened to me.

To me, lying is boring, it generally does not move forward our development, just keeps us where we are.

    •  Of course lying is boring. (0+ / 0-)

It's wrong. But then so is asking about religious beliefs in a job interview. It's your example, not mine.

If a person needs the job to support their family, then I THINK (just me here) that lying about it is okay.

And lying is a rhetorical technique. Clergy do it all the time.

It rubs the loofah on its skin or else it gets the falafel again.

      •  Most people who deal with the public... (0+ / 0-)

or a group of people have their situations where they obfuscate the truth for their political reasons, not just religious leaders.
