bring around what I did in the back area to begin with and use slate.  It makes for easier clean up... unless I lay down brick.  I think I'd rather go with the slate though.

I'd also like to extend one corner for the bird feeder (on a pole) so that I can sweep up below, too.  Gotta think that one through, though.

But it will reclaim some lawn, not all.  Then I can maybe edge the area with something... dunno.  first year maybe annuals, then i'll think about what perennials to put in.

I still have to think about this.  I'd really like to fence in an area for the pooties so they can go outside (or rather, certain pooties allowed out - ie , Pootie #1 and Mushu)  I'd really like an entirely caged area for them - not super large, but enough that they can get some sun... and something to keep critters (like raccoons) and the ferals out for disease control.  I'd have to be really careful with Mushu since honestly?  He used to climb up the tree next to my bedroom and reach the 2nd story!!  LOL  and also climb up telephone poles.  He is a very strong leaper and climber... but I know Pootie #1 would love to be back outside for a couple of hours a day in the summer and Mushu would probably like this, too.  I'd have them go out via the basement door which is on the side of the house.  It may be a project that comes to fruition in a couple of years.

now if only the damn weather would cooperate and BE SPRING.

      grrr....
