"classic teenager's argument" is not meant to be an accusation against any and all persons aged 13-19, nor a blanket characterization thereof. I am not saying or implying that all teenagers, in all situations, will accuse adults of not listening to them whenever the adult does not accept or agree with what the teenager is saying or give the teenager what (s)he wants or believes (s)he deserves that the adult is withholding.  The phrase is only meant to indicate that I have heard teenagers say that in those kinds of situations on several prior occasions; the phrase is meant as a reference to a particular behavior that I have observed in individuals of high-school age.
