    Please. WFB is based in SF and always was. People from MN (or "wherever") had nothing to do with it. The merger between WFB and Wachovia (west meets east) made it tbtf. WFB was not "good" before the merger, then "bad" after the merger because of all the Minnesotans from Norwest Bank who suddenly found themselves working for WFB. The problems stem from the size of the institution, not the hard working midwesterners who work there. WFB is the 2nd largest employer in MN. Most of the people in Mn are worker bees who have no control over policies. Upper management, who are responsible for the decisions you rail against, are based in California.
