        •  It's amusing (5+ / 0-)

that they continue to present messages like this, considering the actual quotes and videos in the diary.  :)  If only it were that simple, but no...it's Chinese hackers stealing your guns, with...hell, I don't know how. But be afraid. That's the main thing.

We demanded a plan to reduce gun violence. Now it's time to demand a vote.

......and take away the liberties of innocent Americans.

You are correct....that is the main thing.

You seem to acknowledge that as well, as "Bingo" seems to be the only retort your side has left.

In fact, I think this country should have more liberalized social laws on many things.

And I certainly don't think any current liberty should be taken from any innocent American.  I believe this whether we are talking about warrantless wiretaps, torture, Gitmo.....or gun laws.

Apparently either you disagree or you don't know what 'liberalized laws' means. (Hint: check the root word of 'liberty' and 'liberal'.)

With your message you're coming in here and agreeing with him, but defending it, repeating it, with this illusion of how liberal you are -- and never mind that on background checks, the object of his ire, you and Wayne are out of step with liberals, and every other demographic in the country except Wayne LaPierre and the gunmakers. You and he are prioritizing your liberties over our lives. Liberal? I think not.

                    "Liberty-NOUN:
                           1) a. The condition of being free from restriction or control.
                               b. The right and power to act, believe, or express oneself in a manner of one's own choosing.
                          2) Freedom from unjust or undue governmental control.
                          3) A right or immunity to engage in certain actions without control or interference: the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights. "

                    "UBC"
I was responding to your comment.
And the object of your ire, as made clear by your belief in repealing a Constitutional Amendment, is not only the "UBC"....but the Constitutional Amendment itself.
It is telling that you try to diminish your true aims.

"illusion of how liberal you are"
                    Never mind my voting record.
Never mind my espousal of progressive economics.
Never mind my support of liberties for homosexuals (gay marriage) & women (abortion).
                    Never mind my user name....
How, exactly is the supporting of, literally, "liberal gun laws", not 'liberal'?
It isn't a 'left vs right' issue. It is a 'rural vs urban' issue.

                        "libertarian re guns"
As I don't want 're any liberty', including warrantless wiretaps, Gitmo & torture infringed on, I guess I am a 'libertarian re torture', 'libertarian re Gitmo', & a 'libertarian re warrantless wiretaps'
I also support a woman's right to choose. I guess that makes me a 'libertarian re abortion'.
Devastating argument. You must have really thought that one through.

There is a reason why your only justification for infringing on the liberties of innocent Americans for your irrational fears is either
                        a) "NRA!"
                        or
                        b) "Bingo!"

Your distrust of your fellow citizens, your paranoid fear of American liberties & your dismissal of the Constitutional Amendment that protects them is so flimsy & unjustified that non sequiturs, ad hominems & guilt by association is all you have left.

New York has had gun restrictions for more than a hundred years, and still no confiscations! Imagine that?!

CCP holders walk around with their guns in New York - concealed.

And the vast majority of the public never has to see them, or be shot by them. Imagine that?!

As you ignored the argument presented in order to argue against the presenter (wrongly, might I add), that fits the definition.

                            areas:
                            1) Maintaining the liberties of innocent Americans.

                            2) Maintaining the actual definitions of words.

Great job managing to take the contrary side on both those arguments.

          gun rights given last week?

I was so looking forward to his promised list of 49 more reasons to support gun rights for this week.....I wonder why he hasn't done it yet?

"Bingo" is such a wonderful retort......its always good to know when when your side has no rational retort.

                •  It's not a game. It is liberties that innocent (0+ / 0-)

Americans have today. Liberties you want to strip from them for your perceived security.

Which you must understand, as your entire argument now consists of
                  a) "religion..Gospel!"
                  b) "Bingo!"
                  c) "NRA!"
                  d) "!!!!!!!"

Whereas the argument for gun rights earned a 25 reason 'Bingo card' with 49 more reasons promised for this week (he is late, I wonder why;))....all from someone that is against gun rights.

You have no argument based in anything other than your irrational fears, distrust of your fellow citizens & your dismissive attitude of the Constitutional Amendment that protects these liberties.

It is no wonder that your arguments have fallen to such hilariously absurd depths.

                  Do keep it up!

                    •  No. Guns are under regulation today. (0+ / 0-)

As is all of the Bill of Rights.
I am against stripping any of the liberties that Americans currently have. Especially in response to the actions of murderers.

I was given this same 'sacrificing liberty for perceived security' argument for warrantless wiretaps, Gitmo & torture.
And for the same reasons I opposed warrantless wiretaps, Gitmo & torture, I also oppose the AWB.

                      So....yeah....basically, 'Freedom'.
It is truly frightening you find the very word of 'Freedom' so mockable.
They aren't as common as you seem to think.
Diminishing them should never be taken lightly.

Do you mean liberties of innocent Americans, like this guy's right to self-defense when his pregnant wife got up to pee in the middle of the night?

Like the right of this guy to self defense, who was just standing his ground from the comfort of his own bed?

Tell me, do you think pregnant women are guilty of something? That they have no right to life?

These types of "mistakes" are very disturbing.

Will men now be able to skip adjudication of domestic violence by simply keeping a loaded gun next to the bed?

Ooopsie, I was scared and confused and shot my wife, or girlfriend, when got up to pee in the middle of the night.

Will "Stand your ground" morph into "I was a afraid my woman was going to leave me, so I only have to say I was afraid of an intruder, and that I was just confused by fear when I shot her dead."

They also target those who don't really disagree on policy, but who are vocal about gun violence and gun accidents. People who think, rightly, that our attitude toward guns is killing our loved ones.
