  •  Okay, this is weird (0+ / 0-)

I went outside this morning to check the transmission fluid to make sure it wasn't low. When I turned on the car (because I read that the engine is supposed to be running), I decided, for the heck of it, to shift into gear to see what happened. Maybe it was because the engine was already running for a couple of minutes, but there was no shaking or anything. Then I decided to go down the street. When I got up to 40-45, the car behaved completely normal and shifted just fine.

Very strange. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that my car's acting normal now, but something seems strange to me.

They come and they go .

I'd suggest an engine code reading .

checked out my engine. They did give me a tune-up, also. I'll take it back to them tomorrow and see what happens.

Now why would a transmission shop be giving a tune up to the engine ? That's very interesting .
I'm guessing that they failed to find / fix the problem with the engine .

Around here you can get the codes read for free .
I'd get the codes read by someone other than the shop that did the work on the transmission .
