    But my point is that the rights protected by the Bill of Rights are subject to reasonable limitations, including the right to free speech. Cruz was trying make the false point that banning certain guns is analogous to censoring certain certain books. But the restrictions that may be reasonable in the context of the First Amendment are not analogous to those for the Second Amendment, because the rights protected are not analogous. I can't murder children with  Huckleberry Finn, but I can with an assault rifle. Analogizing banning certain guns, which the Supreme Court has upheld since the 1930s, with banning certain books is simply specious.
