      provided they are in excellent or mint condition and are the correct year.  Counterfeit Confederate bills are often even better.

      In the bombed-out wasteland of 1945 Europe cigarettes were currency. You could buy a VW Beetle with cartons of cigarettes.

      Everyone knows what Scotch is, it comes in sealed containers to show authenticity, it's durable, and has intrinsic value.
