  •  I'm hoping to be able to post a few pics of him (8+ / 0-)

and his new pleasure palace.  Getting him to hold still will not be an issue, I'm sure!

Last time I fell out of bed, it was because I was laughing.  And no power on earth can get me to tell the rest of that story!!  :-D  (Any and all other participants have been sworn to secrecy on pain of a serious azzkickin'!)

Holy tile crackin' Batman!!  Never a dull moment with you lot, is there??  Hope nobody was hurt in all that rowdiness.

That's one reason I don't like hard tile on the floor.  I'm too much of a klutz, and would be pickin' shards out of things all the time!

    •  There are pluses and minuses (8+ / 0-)

We got all tile because I had such horrendous allergies and asthma partially, okay mainly from our pooties.
It's much easier to mop the fur and dander up compared to carpet.
It is much easier to keep clean, even though washing it all can be exhausting, but I only do a thorough cleaning every 3 months or so and spot clean in between and use a dust mop.
It's also nice and cool during our hot summer months, but is very cold in the winter, even though our winters are mild compared to snow country.
Breakage is a major problem - LOL - and as much as we try to be careful, we do suffer from butterfingers at times.
And yeah, I've slipped from the klumsy and have hurt myself badly, such as cracking a few ribs once when I slammed into the tub on the way down.
And it does hurt my lower back when standing too long in the kitchen preparing big meals, but I bought a non-slip memory foam rug for by the sink and that helps.
I think I prefer tile over carpet but there are times I miss carpeted floors but do not miss vacuuming!

      All we need is LOVE!

      •  Makes perfect sense to me! When we lived in AZ (8+ / 0-)

I only had area rugs to keep the toesies warm.

Otherwise, it was wood or tile.  I wasn't such a clumsy thing back then, so breakage was less.  And you're right about the animal care....so much easier than with carpet!!

Now that I'm relocated to New England, it's carpet for sure!!  I was lucky to get a Dyson vac for animal fur back when they first came out.  Damned fine machine!!  I'll never have any other kind, now.  It does help, even though I no longer vacuum the way I used to.

Instead, I have a wall hanging:
Cat hair is too a fashion accessory!!

        :-D
