  •  There is just no way to easily accept the loss (6+ / 0-)

    of a beloved pet.  To us...the grief is compounded by the purity of their lives and what they gave us and the joy we take/took in giving them perhaps the best of ourselves.

    We've lost two this year.  Hard.  Miss them terribly.  All their habits entwined with our own...seeing them and hearing them talk...that sudden "plop" into one's lap and and head-butt saying "love me."  

    I'm so sorry.  Perhaps you could, in time, go to the pound and save some other beautiful creature.  Life and love springs anew without dishonoring the memories.
