    in a speech tomorrow. The catch, it seems, is it will be contingent upon Congress certifying that the border is secure.

    Given how quickly Congress moves, I'm sure we'll get a certification sometime around the year 2152 or so.

    But anyway, it is a leftward move for him. It will be interesting to see how this plays in the presidential primaries. There is likely a group in the GOP base that will see it as unacceptable amnesty and a betrayal of conservative principles. Could a GOP candidate capitalize on that sentiment but still be strong in a general?

    For that matter, I wonder how this play in a fairly conservative state like Kentucky. Mitch McConnell certainly following Rand's moves closely. Look how he joined the filibuster.
