  •  small question: since at least some of the (6+ / 0-)

    people posting what appear to be on their face threats and are using the internet or phone lines or whatever to do so, haven't they crossed the line to where it is no longer only state statutes that are in play but could also involve federal charges?

    At what point does the FBI become involved?  It seems, given the level of misdirected anger in the community, that at least some of the threats would have to be deemed credible

      A federal crime would have to be committed. None of this comes close.

      This is definitely retaliation and intimidation of a victim, a state crime everywhere. It doesn't matter if the threat was phoned in, mailed, or a message from another state. Extradition procedures would be appropriate.
