  •  My preference is low tow (5+ / 0-)

    which to me is an easier tow than high tow.  But part of the flight test is to "box the wake" where the glider has to go all the way around the wake without getting into the wake. High and low tow is not the challenge. If the glider is 15 meters or more wingspan, it takes real effort to swing out far enough to the side to avoid getting the wingtips into the turbulent wake of the towplane.
