...here. It's not at all clear that the extra ten mags would have had much effect.

...birthers should get together. You may disagree about almost everything, but at least you will all probably feel comfortable together because you all seem to share similar debating techniques and approach to (not) applying logic, science, and data while forming opinions.

In December, a telephone survey of 905 Coloradans by Keating Research found that 80 percent agreed with expanded background checks and 61 percent supported magazine limits.

          That's Colorado mind you.

By the way, a lot of the pro gun people on this site are just propagandists for the gun lobby, so there's no sense in "debating" with them - they're not debating, they are muddying, distracting and confusing. Purposely.

..."pro constitution", "pro rights", and/or "pro self responsibility" with "pro gun" in some cases.

Labeling anyone who believes the Second Amendment shouldn't be ignored or neutered as "pro gun" is like labeling anyone who supports a woman's right to choose as "pro abortion". Most people I know who are pro choice are not pro abortion (i.e., they would prefer that fewer rather than more occurred) and would prefer that birth control were used.

I defend the Second Amendment just as I defend all the concrete enumerated rights in the Bill of Rights. For example, I defend the Fourth Amendment even though I believe that it excessively hampers (esp. with the court's invention of the exclusionary rule) the ability of law enforcement to remove dangerous criminals from our streets and, hence, reduces the safety of society.
