  •  And another point, this is about real people's (3+ / 0-)

    'livelihoods'.

It is very distressing to hear folks want to see this issue carried forward for solely political gain.

And the liberal establishment stills "wonders" why years ago, the working classes mostly left the Party?

    This is exactly why.

I've had working class clients (over the past thirty plus years) who were raised as "yellow dog" Dems, who practically 'spit' when they spoke of NAFTA, and the damaging effect it had on their factory jobs and on their livelihoods.

They despised the Dem Party after they passed that law.

Now, Dems think this should be "played" in the 2014 election? Pleeezzzz.

This is a policy that the Administration should be out rallying the public behind, night and day.  Not dangling the hope of higher wages before hard-pressed (and in some cases, near destitute) workers, for some cynical political gain.

(As has been suggested here.  I can't at this time, discern how sincere the Administration is, regarding this issue.  So, I remain hopeful.)
