    Still, she did convince him to stay in politics after he was paralyzed and was undeniably a constant liberal voice in his ear.

    I just wonder if he would have had the deep down understanding of helplessness and how unfair life can be without the disease.  It is those, I suspect, that fired the core of his liberal and activist political convictions more than anything else.

    But who knows?

      Basically did campaigning to keep him on the map while he went through his long recovery and decided what the heck he was going to do.

      Amazing woman. My daughter is named for her.

          She was born Easter Tuesday. Had we not already agreed to use a middle name for my husband's late mother, I would have gone with the full version of my own name.

          It would be "light of the resurrection," but it would also have been insanely long. :)
