decrying the so-called War as it was happening, including but not limited to the torture at Abu Ghraib, relating vividly the parallels between the Iraq War & Vietnam.

As well as honoring the names of the soldiers who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, for all of which I thank you!

I lost a brother in 1968 in Viet Nam, no one was reporting on how similar Iraq was to Viet Nam. I was confused and angry  until I found this blog and read your writing.

It helped get me involved. The Bush Years should never be forgotten for some of the things that they did that was worse than Viet Nam. I was too young during Viet Nam to understand what had happened. It took many years for me to begin to sort through my feelings and to learn despite what I wanted to what that horrible war was really about. Johnson has a lot to answer for, but he also had plenty of good in his administration. George Bush has nothing good. History will not treat him kindly despite what Jeb Bush says.

In our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart until, in our own despair, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God ~RFK
