    and others convened a tribunal to investigate US war crimes in Vietnam.  Another international effort was made to indict US crimes in Iraq.  Neither had support from authoritative international bodies, and even if the UN or the World Court were to undertake something, the US as it stand now would repudiate the effort from the beginning.

    What we really need is for a group like the Progressive Caucus to actively embrace the idea of a consequential Congressional investigation of possible crimes leading to war in the Bush-Cheney years.  But we'll wait in vain for anything like that.
