I don't know the demographics of the various Colorado house and senate districts, but I have to think some who voted for the various bills (I think each issue was dealt with in a separate bill)  went out on a limb.  And felt they could do so.  Some Democrats didn't vote with the majority.

But it def extends to the states.

Its just asking for a lot of wingnuts to come out of the closet. I get striking while the iron is hot, but its a risky play. It would really stink to lose some of these state houses and such because of it.

Allowing some of these less controversial measures to be implemented, then going after the Assault and Magazines, IMO, would have been a smarter strategy.

The threat to our way of life comes from corporations, and the solution is to shrink corporations while freeing government from corporate control.

Because at some point we in Colorado decided that by law each bill must deal with a separate subject. Eliminates those amendments having nothing to do with what the bill is about. This happens so often at the federal level as with omnibus appropriation or must pass budgets and others.
